Wanting to share my adventures in marine science, in 2019 I set up On the Killer Whale Trail. This primarily began as a social media entity for me to share my stories and marine conservation adventures with a wider audience. Over the years I'm delighted that On the Killer Whale Trail has far exceeded my initial expectations, and has evolved with me as a marine scientist exploring Scotland and further afield. On the Killer Whale Trail has now been featured on podcasts, in books and magazine features, given invited talks, taken part in a number of brand features, has amassed a global following, has been captured by the cameras of David Attenborough's Wild Isles (see above banner image, taken by Richard Shucksmith), and, has provided a platform for me to lead a variety of marine conservation campaigns close to my heart. Throughout its evolution On the Killer Whale Trail continues to remain a wonderful honest outlet and open space for me to share my adventures and passion for marine science.Â
